What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Dietician - Full-Time position at Mesa View Regional?
The Dietician is responsible for providing clinical nutrition services according to the guidelines established by the American Dietetic Association, American Association of Diabetes Educators and as adopted by Mesa View Regional Hospital. Provides cost effective (profit-generating) nutrition programs, functions as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team to implement nutrition care plans, and is guided by policies, standards and programs for the prevision of optimal, cost-effective nutrition care to patients/residents. Provides clinical nutrition related activities including in and out orders, and nutrition supplements. Provides clinical nutrition services coverage on weekends and holidays when necessary and physician ordered. Participates in community events that are health oriented on an as needed/requested basis. Maintains two-way communication with the nutrition Services department. All other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelors degree in dietetics from a recognized dietetics program required. A Masters degree in Nutrition, Public Health or related healthcare field preferred.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience in medical nutrition therapy.
Licenses/Certificates: Current Registered Dietitian (RD). NV Clinical Dietician License Required.
