Certified Pharmacy Tech - PRN (As Needed)

Job Summary:
- Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, compounds and dispenses medical prescriptions.
- May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department.
- Receives and stores incoming supplies.
- Verifies stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
- The Pharmacy Technician is to aid in the filling of Pyxis machines, assists with inventory control, enters charges for inpatients in the computer system, prepares IV admixtures as required, and assists the Pharmacist as needed.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a certified pharmacy technician training program.
- Hospital pharmacy experience strongly desired.
- Must have strong computer, organizational, and communication skills.
- Current Nevada Certified Pharmacy Technician (or able to obtain within 6 months of hire).
- PTCB certification preferred.
- Technician training license required prior to hire.
- BLS and ACLS within 3 months of hire.
**Pay range: $21.34 - $26.67 (depending on experience)**
