Patient Care Technician - PRN

Job Summary:
- The Patient Care Technician performs routine duties within the limits of documented training for the emergency department and other patient care areas, as needed.
- The care is rendered under the supervision and direction of the Registered Nurse.
- Facilitates the information and activity flow to and from the nursing unit; assists in answering phones, taking messages, making phone calls, faxing orders, etc.
- Will also be competent to monitor telemetry and report cardiac rhythm changes to the nursing staff for further investigation when indicated.
- Will have good customer service, computer and organizational skills.
- All other duties as assigned that are within the scope of practice.
Qualifications:
- BLS required.
- IV course certification of Advanced EMT certification.
- Telemetry Tech Training required within 6 months of hire.
Pay Range: $16 - $22 DOE
Licenses & Certifications
Required- C-ARC-BLS
