Pay rates vary by project. Certain projects are subject to Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements and may pay substantially more than the company's standard base rate. Employees working on these projects will be compensated according to the applicable wage determination and classification. The standard starting pay rate for laborer positions is $17.00 per hour.

Job Summary
Supports underground utility construction activities involving water, sewer, storm drainage, conduit, and related infrastructure.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None.
Duties/Responsibilities
Assist with installation of water, sewer, storm drain, and utility systems.
Prepare trenches and excavation areas for utility installation.
Help place and align pipe, fittings, structures, and related materials.
Install bedding materials and assist with backfilling operations.
Assist with trench safety systems and excavations.
Direct equipment operators during utility placement when required.
Use hand and power tools to support installation activities.
Perform site cleanup and restoration activities.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Required Skills/Abilities
Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
Ability to perform physically demanding labor in outdoor environments.
Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
Ability to work safely around trenches and excavation operations.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attendance.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous utility construction or general construction experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and loud machinery.
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
