Full Time Sales Associate wanted for commissioned fine jewelry sales.
Responsibilities include all activities related to a luxury sales environment, from greeting customers and answering questions, to offering assistance, suggesting items, lending opinions and providing product information. As a member of a small business team, taking initiative for individual responsibilities is a must. These will include: demonstrating outstanding customer service and selling skills, consultation with customers regarding repairs to their jewelry; processing new merchandise and assisting in display; detailed inventory procedures; stocking, organizing and cleaning the selling floor, cash/wrap and store room areas.
As a sales associate you will process payments by totaling purchases; processing checks, cash and credit cards. Must also be able to deal with customer refunds courteously and professionally. Maintains a professional attitude with sincerity and enthusiasm reflecting store's commitment to our customer.
Our store is open 7 days a week and you must be available for some weekend hours on a regular basis. Dress is business casual and it is preferred for you to apply in person.
The pay for this position is hourly (based on experience) 3% commission on sales. Benefits include: Health Insurance, 2 weeks paid vacation annually, a Simple IRA plan with 3% employer matching.
No Jewelry knowledge or previous jewelry sales experience is required; on-the-job paid training will be provided.
