JOB SUMMARY
The Medical Assistant provides comprehensive support in a dynamic public health clinic
specializing in family medicine and women’s, community and environmental health. Responsible
for a broad range of clinical and administrative duties to ensure high-quality, patient-centered
care. Adheres to all federal and state regulations governing patient confidentiality,
documentation standards, and professional credentials. Accurately maintains electronic health
records (EHR) and ensures timely completion of all clinical and administrative responsibilities.
Demonstrates strong time management skills to optimize workflow and minimize downtime.
Collaborates effectively with multidisciplinary team members to support seamless clinic
operations and enhance patient outcomes.

- Greets and prepares patients for clinical visits; reviews medical history, obtains and
specimens for laboratory testing per established protocols.
- Ensures timely and accurate completion of all documentation, including patient
compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards.
- Assists providers with a full range of family medicine and women’s health procedures,
and removals, endometrial biopsies, STD screenings, vasectomies, and comprehensive
physical exams.
- Assists with telemedicine visits as needed and directed.
- Accurately performs and documents results for routine diagnostic procedures and point-

- Clearly communicates lab and diagnostic results to providers and patients as directed,

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years clinical or community health experience, preferred
- Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the knowledge,
Licenses, Certifications and Registrations:
- Certification or Registration as a Medical Assistant, preferred
- Certification or Registration as a Phlebotomy Technician, preferred
- Valid BLS Certification or able to obtain within 6 months of employment
- Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office applications including, Word, Excel, and
- Knowledge and ability to use Google Applications including Gmail and Drive.
- This position requires standing, stooping, sitting, bending, twisting, and lifting 10 pounds.
- Work is generally confined to a standard office environment.
