Responsibilities include supervision of the Criminal Justice Services Department, (CJSD), custodial and preventative maintenance crew which is comprised of three full time CJSD client employees. Responsibilities also include direct participation in custodial and preventative maintenance functions which include cleaning and maintenance duties. The Custodial Lead Worker is responsible for assuring a high standard of cleanliness, sanitation, and preventative maintenance is performed on a consistent basis in the Bridger and Powell Criminal Justice Services Department facilities.

Supervises client employees who are directly responsible for cleanliness, sanitation, minor maintenance, and repairs within each of the facilities.
Responsibilities include, direct supervision of client employees, inspection of the daily work performed, managing work hours of client employees, approval of time sheets, providing input on client employee job performance, ordering supplies, and inventory control.
Responsible for directly performing cleaning and sanitation duties as needed to assure all CJSD buildings are cleaned in an acceptable manner. These duties may include but not be limited to the following in the Bridger and Powell facilities:
- Trash Removal: Empties trash containers consistently throughout all CJS facilities.
- Floors: Assures floors are maintained in a clean, waxed, and polished manner. Cleans door facings and washes windows as schedule, on a regular basis schedules carpet cleaning.
- Lighting: Keeps light bulbs and fluorescent tubes replaced.
- Restroom Maintenance: Restrooms must be maintained in a clean and sanitary manner. Responsibilities include floors, sinks, mirrors, toilets, urinals, fixtures, tile, and restocking supplies such as soap and paper towels.
Reports any damage or maintenance needs to the assigned Criminal Justice Services Manager. May be required to do some painting.
Responsible for writing reports using appropriate grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Maintains and submits statistical information as needed. Adheres to and follows daily, monthly and quarterly duty schedules. Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed by the assigned CJSD Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Must be 21 years of age and successfully pass a background check, including fingerprinting.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job.
Licenses and Certifications:
Colorado State Driver’s License
Blood-borne Pathogens Certification (Can obtain after hire)
First Aid/CPR certification (Can obtain after hire)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
This position requires standing, stooping, sitting, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 60 pounds.
Occasional exposure of work time to hazardous situations which involve physically violent persons, interviewing mentally or emotionally disturbed persons or bodily injury from biohazards, infections, or blood-borne pathogens.
