Job Summary
The Reemployment Specialist applies strong coaching, communication, and analytical skills to support Unemployment Insurance claimants in achieving reemployment through the RESEA (Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment) program. This role combines compliance oversight with individualized career coaching, using a human-centered approach to guide participants through goal setting, job search strategies, and connection to workforce and community resources. The specialist demonstrates the ability to navigate complex systems, coach individuals through career transitions, and ensure regulatory compliance.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

- Builds trust and rapport using active listening and a participant-centered approach
- Guides individuals in setting realistic employment goals and developing job search strategies
- Interprets assessments and labor market information to support informed career decisions
- Applies Federal, State and local policies to ensure participant eligibility and program adherence
- Reviews, analyzes, and verifies work search activities and required documentation
- Identifies issues that may impact Unemployment Insurance benefits and provides participants with appropriate guidance and contact information for the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment's Unemployment Insurance Division.
- Maintains accurate, timely, and compliant case records across multiple systems
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail in data entry, file management, and documentation standards.
- Manages multiple participant cases simultaneously while maintaining organization, accuracy, and timely follow-up.
- Assesses barriers to employment and connects individuals to appropriate workforce and community resources
- Navigates complex systems to provide coordinated support
- Uses critical thinking to address participant needs and troubleshoot challenges
- Works effectively with internal teams to provide holistic services to participants
- Participates in statewide alignment efforts and contributes to service delivery improvements
- Shares information and supports consistency across programs and partners
- Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
