Mesa is seeking a Protection and Controls (P&C) Senior Engineer with 8 years of experience working in the power utility industry. The successful candidate should be familiar with all major protection and control schemes associated with Power Substations P&C design as well as drawing package processes. This role is for someone wanting to pursue a technical path and not management.
Responsibilities
- Utilize MicroStation, AutoCAD, and/or Bluebeam to create/check assigned deliverables
- Meet customer’s schedule and budget requirements
- Perform Protection & Control design/check with high degree of accuracy
- Perform project scoping activities
- Perform careful self-checking activities to ensure the quality of work
- Willingness to travel and work occasional overtime as needed
- Mentor junior engineers and designers
Qualifications
- 8 years experience in substation/utility design.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Licensed professional engineer is required.
