We are seeking an Implementation Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for validating product performance, troubleshooting field issues, and supporting the deployment of energy-efficient lighting systems. The engineer will ensure our products meet stringent performance, safety, and sustainability standards through rigorous testing and real-world analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive testing of lighting products, including photometric, electrical, and mechanical evaluations.
- Perform field validation of LED fixtures, drivers, and control systems to confirm energy efficiency, reliability, and compliance with specifications.
- Utilize test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscopes, thermal cameras, power analyzers, data loggers).
- Investigate and resolve field issues through root-cause analysis (RCA) and provide corrective action feedback to design and manufacturing teams.
- Test compliance against industry standards and certifications (IES LM-79, LM-80, ETL, FCC, UL, DLC, NLC, ENERGY STAR, RoHS etc.).
- Support smart lighting and IoT-enabled systems, validating wireless communication protocols (DALI, Bluetooth Mesh, PoE etc.).
- Replicate customer environments in lab settings to troubleshoot performance issues under varied conditions (temperature, humidity, voltage fluctuations).
- Document and present testing results, field performance metrics, and improvement recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with R&D to refine designs for higher energy efficiency, functional accuracy, and improved durability.
- Provide on-site technical support for product implementation, commissioning, and validation.
- Visit field sites to understand the operational and implementation challenges.
- Generating test cases and executing these cases to help R&D team in product development life cycle.
Summary:
This position requires a very careful adherence to well-defined work where repeatable results are needed. The work is highly precise in nature and requires a very strong attention to detail. It is vital for the work output to be very high quality, with correct results, time and time again. Checking and double-checking is often necessary; individuals performing the job must be patient and conscientious. Both the content and the presentation are important; all work must be highly polished. There is little ambiguity in this job. It is very clear what needs to be done, and what the expected results are. This clarity will come either from the company's management, or from established professional disciplines and processes. The established procedures and processes must be followed very closely; there is little room or necessity to modify them. Much of the work can be accomplished by working at a steady, even pace. There is much consistency and familiarity from one day to the next.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics and Communications, Lighting Technology, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- BLE Mesh (Advanced Concept)
- Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and firmware-related issues.
- Willingness to travel to field sites for product validation and customer support.
- Proficiency in hand soldering electronic components.
- Proficiency in using multimeter and oscilloscope.
