Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled PLC Programmer / Operator to support and optimize automated production lines. This includes SPM (Special Purpose Machining) equipment developed in China. These equipment are made to MES’s proprietary design for high volume manufacturing of components, which go into Re-Electrification and Data-Center applications.
This role is critical in launching manufacturing in Ohio and over time, globally. This individual will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement through advanced control systems and data-driven insights.
You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to develop, monitor, and enhance PLC-based systems that power modern manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
đź”§Â PLC Programming & Design
- Develop, test, and implement PLC control logic (Ladder Logic, Structured Text)Â
- Create and maintain I/O configurations, wiring diagrams, and system documentationÂ
📊 System Monitoring & Control
- Monitor plant operations via PLC systemsÂ
- Track key parameters such as speed and distanceÂ
- Operate and adjust equipment through Delta PLC interfacesÂ
đź› Â Troubleshooting & Maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve system faults to minimize downtimeÂ
- Perform preventive maintenance and ensure system reliabilityÂ
đź”—Â System Integration
- Integrate PLC systems with SCADA, HMI, and industrial communication networks (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP)Â
- Collaborate with engineering teams on system upgrades and deploymentsÂ
📝 Reporting & Documentation
- Install sensors and IoTs to get productivity data from machines in addition to OEE, Yield, and Scrap.
- Maintain detailed shift logs, alarms, and performance dataÂ
- Ensure accurate documentation of all system changes and configurationsÂ
🤝 Collaboration, Communication & Continuous Improvement
- Work with project managers, process engineers, and plant personnelÂ
- Support training for operators on PLC-controlled systemsÂ
- Drive efficienty improvements using real-time data insights
⚠️ Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all safety protocols and interlocks are functioningÂ
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergency conditionsÂ
Qualifications
Required:
- 3–5 years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automationÂ
- Proficiency in PLC programming languages (Ladder Logic, Structured Text)Â
- Experience with SCADA and HMI systemsÂ
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP)Â
- Experience with Delta PLC, Drives, a Plus
- Experience working with Chinese equipment and vendors, a Plus
- Strong Troubleshooting and analytical skills, a must
