Duties
As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating various aspects of the supply chain process. Your main duties will include:
- Supplier management: Collaborating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Ocean Carrier and Truck Logistics coordination: Overseeing the transportation of goods by working closely with our various carriers to ensure efficient and cost-effective shipment.
- Logistics management: Planning and coordinating the logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Transportation management: Optimizing transportation routes and modes to ensure timely delivery while minimizing costs.
- Inventory control: Monitoring inventory levels, conducting regular audits, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory management.
- Settlement and invoicing: Managing shipment settlements, preparing invoices, reconciling costs, and ensuring accurate and timely payments to suppliers, customers, and service providers
- Grain accounting support: Tracking contracts, shipments, and inventory movements while maintaining accurate records and coordinating with merchandising and accounting teams to ensure proper execution and reporting.
