About the Role:
The Yard Helper is responsible for supporting daily yard and warehouse operations by maintaining organization, cleanliness, and efficient distribution of tools, equipment, and materials. This position plays a critical role in ensuring crews have the necessary resources to perform their work safely and effectively. This role is essential in keeping operations running smoothly by ensuring tools, equipment, and facilities are organized, clean, and ready to support field operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize, inventory, and maintain tools, materials, and equipment in the yard and warehouse
- Deliver tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials to field crews as needed
- Load and unload deliveries, verifying quantities and inspecting for damage
- Maintain cleanliness of warehouse, yard, and office areas
- Sweep floors, empty trash receptacles, and clean restrooms
- Assist with stocking shelves and staging materials for upcoming projects
- Support fleet and equipment readiness by assisting with basic upkeep and organization
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials
- Valid driver’s license (if driving company vehicles is required)
· A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
· General knowledge of the various disciplines and procedures utilized by the Construction industry is preferred.
· Effective communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
