ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
•    Provide the most responsive, knowledgeable and courteous service by protecting not only the property but, also the safety of the guests and team members through observing, reporting, and taking action.
•    Take an active role in departmental disciplinary matters.
•    Recruit, train, and manage the SRT program, its officers and all program related matters.
•    Be pro-active with department staffing and ensure staffing levels are at acceptable levels.
•    Respond to suspicious, unusual or emergency situations using the appropriate escalation of force up to and including armed response by following established protocols.
•    Liaise with outside law enforcement and maintain good communications skills and professionalism with agencies such as Police Officials, Fire Department, FBI, Secret Service and Governmental Officials.
•    Liaise with other departments in matters related to security and safety.
•    Provide direction for the day-to-day operation of the Special Response Team and be a liaison of information from executives to officers.
•    Review officer reports to ensure all pertinent information is included before turning them into the Director of Security.
•    Be observant in all areas inside/outside of the hotel for safety concerns or suspicious circumstances.
•    Maintain thorough and detailed training and certification records of all assigned SRT personnel.
•    Use good judgment, reason and a calm demeanor when approaching a disgruntled individual. In the event of a confrontation separate the involved persons without getting hurt or escalating the situation.
•    Complete investigations and subsequent reports by asking questions pertinent to the situation such as; who, what, where why, how, etc. in order to gather sufficient details to thoroughly satisfy investigation/report requirements. Use a computer report writing system to complete reports, and be able to follow through/up on any given report.
•    Make constant contact with both guests/ team members to provide optimal service. This includes contact with various hotel departments to provide/obtain pertinent information needed for guest service, investigations, etc.
•    Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
•    Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to accurately communicate reports.
•    High-level understanding of interpersonal skills to productively deal with business contacts and team members at all levels of the company.
•    Possesses a strong attention to detail, organizational and engaging presentation skills.
•    Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, staff, clients, and general public.
•    High level of firearms, specifically pistol, proficiency, including but not limited to, weapons handling and marksmanship.
•    Advanced computer skills with various VMS, investigative and access control software systems. Must have working knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
•    Ability of simple math, and complex reading, writing, and task completion skills is required.
•    Must have the following skills: compiling, coordination, analyzing, supervising, instructing, driving, precision working, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.
•    Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
•    Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
•    Minimum of 3 years’ experience in security, investigations, law enforcement, self-awareness training techniques, and risk management is preferred or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
•    Must possess prior law enforcement experience or honorably discharged Veteran with Combat Arms Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) or SOF experience.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
•    Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License & Alcohol Awareness card.
•    Valid driver’s license and must produce acceptable driving record per GSR SOP from DMV annually to present to management to remain in position.
•    Must maintain a CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
•    Must have a current Nevada CCW or LEOSA card
o    Candidate has 130 days from date of offer to obtain CCW or employer has option to separate employment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
•    While performing the duties of this job, the team member may be occasionally sitting, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, climbing, frequently balancing, and constantly standing and walking during the duration of their shift.
•    Dependent on the assignment of the designated shift the team member must be able to lift/carry and push/pull up to 25lbs or less frequently or up to 100lbs occasionally.
•    Dependent on the assignment of the designated shift the team member may be occasionally driving.
•    The team member will constantly have repetitive use of both feet and hands and require frequent light and occasional firm/strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be occasionally required. 
•    Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.
•    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
•    Work performed frequently indoors and outdoors alone or with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts around computer equipment and other electrical devices. 
•    Team Member may be exposed to confined areas, wet and/or humid areas, moving objects, high places, flame/heat generated devices, and slippery surfaces.
•    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. 
•    Team Member may be exposed to vibrations, fumes/odor and/or secondhand smoke. 
•    Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
