ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Set-up bar by collecting appropriate amounts of stock (i.e. beer, wine, etc.) and supplies (i.e. glassware, straws, accessories, etc.) for bar function.
- Breakdown bar by inventorying remaining product and return all leftover product and supplies to appropriate areas.
- Take beverage orders from guests, make them according to departmental standards, and deliver to guest in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.
- Input and ring-up charges for guest’s orders using the POS system. Create a check for each transaction, make and return any change as needed.
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of all areas of bar on a daily basis including before, after, and during shift. Refill chemicals, hand soap containers, etc. Refill ice and beer bins, utilizing ice making machines.
- Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice. Answer questions and offer assistance to provide guest satisfaction. Relay accurate information to guests regarding hours of operation.
- Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Ability of complex math and simple reading, writing, and task completion skills is required.
- Must have the following skills: coordination, following instructions, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Minimum one year experience as a bartender or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly standing, kneeling, walking, reaching, twisting, grasping, lifting, listening, using computer, telephone, and speaking.
- Frequently using wrist motion, dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and writing, typing on computer keyboard.
- Frequently carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 25 lbs.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
- Must be able to maintain appropriate Alcohol Awareness card.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending over, and occasionally crouching during the duration of their shift. • Must be able to push/pull and lift/carry 50lbs or less frequently.
- The team member will constantly have repetitive use of both feet. Team member will constantly have repetitive use of their dominant hand, occasional use of their non-dominant hand, and frequent light grasping motions. Team member will have occasional use of firm/strong grasping motion. Finger dexterity of both hands will be frequently required.
- Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work performed indoors, alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts in possible confined areas around computer equipment and other electrical devices.
- Team Member may be around flame/heat generated devices.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
