JOB SUMMARY
The Phone Screener for the Heidi & Frank Morning Show serves as the primary point of contact between the audience and the show, helping create an engaging and entertaining listener experience. This role is responsible for answering and screening calls during live broadcasts, coordinating with the producer and on-air talent, supporting contests and promotions, contributing content ideas, and assisting with the overall execution of the morning show across multiple platforms. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Phone Screening and Show Support
Answer and screen incoming listener calls for the duration of the live broadcast.
Work closely with the Show Producer to identify and prepare callers for on-air participation.
Gather and accurately communicate caller information and talking points to on-air talent.
Maintain an organized call queue and facilitate smooth transitions during live programming.
Exercise sound judgment when selecting callers who will positively contribute to show content.
Help create and maintain positive chemistry with the hosts and other cast members.
Content Development
Contribute creative ideas, segments, listener interactions, bits, audio elements, and interview questions to support the show's content strategy.
Assist in developing engaging multi-platform content for broadcast and digital channels.
Identify compelling listener stories and trending topics that align with the show's brand and audience.
Contests and Promotions
Coordinate contesting and listener giveaways with the Promotions Department.
Ensure contests are conducted according to Program Director specifications and station policies.
Verify contest eligibility and collect accurate winner information.
Assist with prize fulfillment and required documentation.
Compliance and Operations
Follow and enforce all FCC regulations and company policies.
Assist with the implementation of station and state Emergency Alert System (EAS) procedures as required.
Maintain confidentiality regarding station operations and proprietary information.
Support special broadcasts, live events, remotes, and promotional appearances as needed.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by station management, the Program Director, Executive Producer, or Show Producer.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in broadcasting, communications, journalism, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in radio broadcasting, podcasting, live entertainment, customer service, promotions, or digital media preferred.
Working knowledge of broadcast operations and live production environments is a plus.
Proficiency with standard office software and broadcast-related systems preferred.

Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a flexible work schedule, including early mornings, weekends, holidays, and station events as needed.
