LAUNDRY SUPERVISOR - Full Time

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Implement quality checks and monitor individual performance with coordinating personnel assignments to ensure that workflow is maintained.
• Identify potential problem areas and maintain goal attainment with training efforts and meet production requirements.
• Manage team members in the production area.
• Troubleshoot and solve various problems within the operations area.
• Provide a safe environment for guests and team members. Report emergencies to proper authorities.
• Direct team members to their workstations to ensure coverage in all areas.
• Review production necessities to meet demands of the hotel.
• Take care of team member requests/issues (time off, vacations, concerns, etc.
• Troubleshoot and rectify supply shortages, quality issues, labor utilization, etc. Communicate any malfunctions to management/engineers.
• Assist in all facets of operations when needed.
• Make constant contact with both internal and external guests to provide optimal guest service.
• Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Comply with Hotel rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities.
• Ability of simple reading, writing, math and task completion skills is required.
• Must have the following skills: coordination, analyzing, supervising, instructing, following instructions, influencing others, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.
• Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3 years’ laundry supervisor experience or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing, occasionally sitting, walking, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, and kneeling during the duration of their shift. 
• Must be able to occasionally lift/carry and push/pull up to 50lbs or less. 
• The team member will constantly have repetitive use of both hands and light and firm/strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be constantly required. 
• Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work performed indoors, alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others around computer equipment and mechanical devices.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
• Team Member may be exposed to extreme heat, extreme cold, and moving objects.
