Work Schedule: First Shift: Monday to Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Third Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Welder is a welding professional responsible for assembling and fabricating trailer and tank/vessel components in accordance with drawings, specifications, and applicable welding standards. This role performs structural welding using MIG and other welding processes while ensuring quality, safety, and production requirements are met in a manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")
- Studies drawings and prints of work to be performed to determine operations to be performed and materials required.
- Lays out, positions, aligns, or otherwise sets pieces in place preparatory to cutting and welding, and measures dimensions for conformance to specifications.
- Cleans parts to be welded using wire brushes and grinders.
- Sets up, adjusts, and operates such welding equipment as electric arc welders, gas welders, and selects proper electrodes, gas orifices, torch tips, etc. based on type of material being welded.
- Fabricates and performs welding on trailer and tank/vessel parts and assemblies including components and sub-components of these trailer and tank/vessels parts.
- Inspect welds for cracks, burn through and weld spatter.
- Must be able to weld on carbon steel, set and maintain welding machine (tip, liner changes, etc.) and weld vertical, horizontal and overhead.
- Operates overhead bridge cranes as necessary to perform work.
- Must completely follow shop related safety protocol, policies, and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
Qualifications:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s) and pre-employment Pulmonary Function Test (PFT).
- In person, predictable attendance in Ponca City, OK.
- Overtime required based on business needs.
- Proficiency in spoken English language.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of welding experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with MIG welding and/or graduation from an accredited welding school.
Preferred:
- Experience welding in a manufacturing or structural steel environment.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of AWS, API, ANSI, and ASME welding codes and standards.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, weld symbols, and written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot welding issues.
- Ability to set up and maintain welding equipment, including tips and liners.
- Physical dexterity and ability to perform repetitive welding tasks.
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and work effectively in a production environment.
- Willingness to work in a fast paced, high demand manufacturing setting.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and workmanship standards.

The Welder is frequently required to walk, sit, climb, reach, bend, crawl, lift, balance, stoop, handle materials, and squat or kneel. They must be able to stand for at least 8 hours consistently per shift without external support, and must regularly lift and move up to fortynine (49) pounds independently and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with a team lift. This role requires working both indoors and outdoors, often during inclement weather, while performing labor intensive duties. The work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials and operating conditions. Given the hazardous nature of the work environment, employees are required to wear company mandated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to welding hood, Cat2 Flame resistant shirt, steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection, and certified welding gloves, and must strictly adhere to all safety policies, including the Companies' Life Saving Rules and procedures at all times.
Work hours may include early morning, late afternoon/evening hours, and weekends in combination depending on job demands.
