POSITION SUMMARY: The Power Generation Integration Technician is responsible for the safe and reliable operation and maintenance of combustion turbine generating units and associated plant systems. This role performs routine operations, substation switching, equipment monitoring, and preventative maintenance using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment. Responsibilities include maintaining generators, switchgear, excitation systems, and protective relays, as well as documenting plant activities through logs, reports, and readings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may")
- Assigns work within company facilities and at remote field locations, aiding technicians in prioritizing and locating field service customers.
- Coordinates contact with technicians to support parts availability and parts orders, timely completion of work orders, and development of work schedules.
- Interacts with individual and commercial equipment customers and with company Product Support leadership regarding service status.
- Conduct annual performance reviews for assigned operational unit.
- Investigate & document events of work related Injury and/or property damages.
- Maintain effective work, vacation and training scheduled for assigned staff.
- Submit accurate time records related to work performed and/or hours worked.
- Respond to customer inquiries related to service.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s) including pre employment Pulmonary Function Test (PFT).
- Daily overtime required and in person, predictable attendance in Ponca City, OK.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License required. Most employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including 3 year U.S. driving history and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
- U.S. High school diploma required or GED required.
- Trade school training or associate degree in electronics, instrumentation and control, electrical technical training, electrician training, electrical engineering technology or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES
- Possess mechanical and electrical skills including demonstrated ability to isolate equipment from hazardous sources of energy.
- Possess ability and availability to be contacted outside of work.
- Ability to recognize and report problems in plant and substation equipment, and perform troubleshooting, calibrations, repair of sensors, transmitters, and signal and feedback devices.
- Willingness to work with high voltage and must be able to pass switching certification tests.
- Strong leadership skills with a commitment to excellence demonstrated in work history.
- Excellent speaking, writing, and listening skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced and high demand environment.
- Knowledge and experience with ERP systems in Discrete Manufacturing; preferably with Made2Manage ERP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), with emphasis on Excel as it is used heavily for data analysis and reporting.
- Must be able to work under timeline constraints.
- Possess the ability to effectively communicate and convey information and collaborate with teammates.

Daily required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach and squat/kneel and requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs. Work environment may include exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, audio up to 85 dB and inclement weather, including typical and atypical outdoor elements and extreme cold and hot weather temperatures. Given these conditions employees may be required to wear company mandated and issued personal protective equipment (PPE) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies.
Work hours may include or includes early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on business necessity.
