Job Summary

The CNC Mill Operator is responsible for setting up, running, and maintaining CNC milling machines to produce accurate, high-quality parts. The ideal candidate has experience with precision machining, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing top-tier work.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC milling machines (vertical or horizontal)

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders

• Load materials, install tooling, and verify proper machine setup

• Adjust offsets, speeds, and feeds to achieve optimal machining results

• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision tools

• Perform basic G-code edits when required

• Maintain accuracy, surface finish, and tight tolerances

• Keep machines clean, perform basic maintenance, and report issues

• Work collaboratively with engineering and fabrication teams

• Adhere to all safety standards and shop procedures

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of CNC mill operation experience (Haas, Mazak, Fanuc, etc.)

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T

• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials

• Basic G-code knowledge (editing and troubleshooting)

• Experience with metals common to architectural fabrication preferred

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
