All personnel are mandated reporters and will adhere to the requirements outlined in the Child Abuse Prevention Policy and Procedures. Per our commitment to a safe environment and youth protection, you must attend required CAP and Safety/Risk Management Trainings each year.
Qualifications:KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of participants in the program by providing close supervision of all activities.
- Independently manage and facilitate activities for youth; management of groups includes but is not limited to:
Assisting with activity supervision
Assisting lesson planning and implementation
Keeping accurate attendance documents
- Create an environment that is diverse, culturally sensitive, and relevant to the needs of youth
- Ability to work cooperatively with professional staff and other departments.
- By personal example, help interpret the quality of YMCA Character Values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
- Accept and perform all other responsibilities necessary for the organization's good as required by the supervisor (remains flexible).
QUALIFICATIONS:
· At least 15 years of age
· Commitment to personal youth development
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· General knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
