What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Specialist position at Merrimack Health?
This position is responsible for control of inventory, data input, and distribution of supplies and equipment throughout the hospital. Duties include stocking inventory carts, sorting and filling requisitions, assisting shipping and receiving when needed, responding to supply requests, preparing audits of supply usage, and verifying daily charges against computer reports. Ideal candidate will possess a can-do attitude with a strong customer service orientation. 4-6 months' prior hospital or related experience preferred. Must have good interpersonal skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and be able to lift and transport items of up to 100 lbs. This is a physically demanding job requiring constant mobility throughout the entire hospital. High school diploma or equivalent required.
EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Four to six months minimum hospital or related experience preferred.
3. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift
heavy objects.
