SUMMARY
Collects, organizes and distributes documents required to fabricate and erect structural steel. Works closely with other departments to ensure that work performed by the Document Control department meets the requirements of the Company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for collecting and organizing all documents including but not limited to design drawings, specifications, field use drawings, shop drawings and part drawings.
· Responsible for compliance with all project contract requirements, applicable codes, Merrill Quality Manual, Quality Procedure, and industry best practices.
· Responsible for consistent file and folder naming of all documents in an organized system. Drawings must be easily accessible to all Merrill Steel employees.
· Responsible for generating transmittals for all outgoing documents
· Responsible for receiving and logging all incoming documents
· Uploading and downloading files from various customer document management software such as SharePoint, Procore, InEight, Autodesk Construction Cloud BIM360 and Aconex.
· Transmitting print room requests to ensure hard copies are available as need by the shop.
· All other duties as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma or GED.
· Two years of experience in document control.
· Ability to work under pressure.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
