Merrill Insurance is looking for a Renewal Account Manager (Commercial Lines) to support and retain a h*igh-volume book of construction (contractor) business. What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
As our Renewal Account Manager, you’ll serve as the expert behind the scenes ensuring every renewal is accurate, timely, and provides our clients with the best options on the market.
You will:
- Serve as a subject matter expert in renewal management, retention strategy, remarketing, audits, endorsements, cancellations, inspections, and claims coordination.
- Act as a key liaison between clients, Account Manager I, Producers, carriers, and underwriters.
- Review renewal policies and offers for accuracy.
- Prepare renewal proposals and submissions—owning the process from data collection to policy issuance.
- Negotiate renewals with carriers to secure the most competitive terms.
- Identify opportunities for cross-sell and new lines alongside Producers and Account Manager I.
- Maintain strong relationships with carrier partners and stay current on market trends, product updates, and industry changes.
- Support Service Team during escalations.
- Document all conversations, transactions, and policy work inside the Agency Management System.
- Maintain a clean, organized digital and physical workspace.
- Assist teammates when needed—vacations, overflow, PTO, disaster response (when safe).

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- 4-40 license required (or 2-20 preferred)
- Valid Florida P&C license (or equivalent non-resident 9-20 if remote—though this role is in-office)
- Prior Commercial Account Manager experience required
