Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, machinery, and building systems to identify maintenance needs or potential hazards.
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Execute welding tasks and residential painting projects with precision and safety awareness.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance logs to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future tasks.
- Oversee facilities maintenance activities including plumbing, HVAC, electrical wiring, and mechanical systems to ensure continuous operation.
- Supervise junior team members or contractors when required, providing guidance on safety procedures and technical tasks.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service by addressing internal or external client needs promptly and professionally.
- Lead safety initiatives by adhering to protocols related to welding, electrical work, and general maintenance practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or residential environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience; familiarity with schematics is essential.
- Hands-on skills in welding, residential painting, and troubleshooting electrical circuits using tools like ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints accurately.
- Experience supervising or leading teams in a maintenance setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and collaboration.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management is advantageous.
