Job Overview
Join the MDI team as a Driver with CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred, where you’ll enjoy the stability of being home every night while delivering products to our Foodservice and C Store Customers. Your primary mission will be to safely transport goods ensuring timely deliveries and excellent service for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate our trucks. We run late-model straight trucks that are well maintained
- Unload product efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all regulations.
- Navigate route driving with precision, adhering to schedules while maintaining a focus on safety and traffic laws.
- Handle freight securely during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and records of all trips and cargo movements.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered on the road.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations.
- Proficiency in operating various truck types including refrigerated trailers.
- Ability to unload freight efficiently while following safety protocols.
- Experience with route driving that emphasizes punctuality and customer service excellence.
- Skilled in handling specialized equipment such as forklifts or other loading machinery when required.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety standards and compliance with transportation laws.
