Overview
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and skilled Industrial Electrician to join our dynamic team. This is a full time position with occasional overtime required as needed. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to electrical projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards such as the National Electrical Code (NEC). Licensed Journeyman Electrician is preferred but we will consider a highly experienced non-licensed person. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and components in industrial settings, including low and high voltage equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute electrical projects.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose issues and verify system integrity.
- Cabinet and Panel Fabrication: Layout and wire industrial control panels and cabinets based on technical specifications and schematics.
- Collaborate with production team and Engineers to coordinate electrical installations and upgrades efficiently.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues in systems involving PLCs, hydraulic pump motors, and AC/DC electrical motors.
- Document logs of work performed and parts used
- Run conduit and wire complex machinery, ensuring all sensors, actuators, and power components are correctly installed.
- Perform point to point continuity testing and assist in the initial power up and testing of automated machinery.
- Adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a solid understanding of industrial electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and electrical schematics reading.
- Hands-on experience with low voltage and high voltage systems in manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with installing and troubleshooting proximity sensors, laser guides, and limit switches.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
Pay: $34.00 - $40.00 per hour
