Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, organization, and implementation of recreational activities and events for residents, including social programs, exercise classes, and entertainment events
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure a warm and welcoming environment
- Coordinate and participate in activities, games, and social events to stimulate cognitive and physical abilities
- Collaborate with the therapy team to develop and implement individualized activity plans for residents
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make recommendations for improvements
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity schedules
- Assist with the maintenance of a clean and organized activity department
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift, bend, and move objects up to 25 pounds
- Compassionate and patient attitude with a focus on providing excellent customer service
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
