ITEC is a leading educational and social-impact organization that uses sport as a vehicle for youth development, leadership, and opportunity. Founded in 1976, ITEC operates 17 centers and 7 satellite programs across Israel, serving approximately 7,000 children annually from diverse communities, including youth in underserved and peripheral regions.
ITEC’s work spans after-school enrichment, competitive athletics, coexistence initiatives, and youth-at-risk programming, with more than $5 million awarded annually in scholarships. While proudly Israeli and serving the entire community, the majority of ITEC’s philanthropic support is raised in the United States.
The Opportunity
ITEC is seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Vice President of Development to lead and grow fundraising efforts in the New York / Tri-State region, one of the organization’s most critical philanthropic markets.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this senior leader will focus on major gifts, donor cultivation, and regional growth, working closely with executive leadership, Board members, and a global development team. This is an outward-facing role for a seasoned nonprofit fundraiser who thrives on building deep, long-term donor relationships and advancing mission through philanthropy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead fundraising strategy and execution for the NY / Tri-State region
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors and family foundations
- Expand ITEC’s donor base while strengthening existing relationships
- Partner closely with the CEO and Board on donor engagement and solicitations
- Represent ITEC at donor meetings, events, and the annual gala
- Participate in donor missions and engagement trips to Israel
- Collaborate with U.S. and international development colleagues
Ideal Candidate
- 5 years of senior nonprofit development experience
- Strong background in Jewish and/or Israel-related philanthropy
- Proven success securing major gifts
- Highly relational, credible, and comfortable engaging senior donors
- Strategic yet hands-on, organized, and results-oriented
- Able to articulate how sport serves as a platform for education, character development, and social impact
Based in the Tri-State area and willing to travel to Israel periodically.
Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
