The Client Onboarding Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for our clients as they join our firm, handling paperwork, account setup, and the efficient tracking of asset transfers. The Client Onboarding Specialist will be the initial point of contact on the Client Servicing Team for new clients, guiding them through the onboarding process with expertise and care.
Responsibilities revolve around managing crucial documentation, simplifying account setup procedures, and overseeing the efficient tracking of asset transfers. The Client Onboarding Specialist will serve as a trusted contact to clients, ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of Merkle Retirement Planning’s process and the movement of their assets.
The Client Onboarding Specialist will be responsible for walking clients through paperwork, including account applications and beneficiary designations, and ensuring that all documentation is accurately completed and submitted in accordance with industry regulations and internal protocols. This position will further the onboarding process by completing employer plan rollover calls and paperwork with clients.
The Client Onboarding Specialist will collaborate seamlessly with our team of Retirement Planners and Client Servicing Team to streamline the onboarding process and swiftly resolve any challenges that may arise.
Core Job Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for new clients during the onboarding process, offering exceptional service and guidance throughout.
- Document Management: Assist clients with completing necessary paperwork, including account applications, beneficiary designations, and other relevant documents. Ensure all forms are accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner.
- Account Setup: Coordinate the setup of client accounts, including brokerage, retirement, and investment accounts, in compliance with industry regulations and internal procedures.
- Transfer Coordination: Facilitate the transfer of assets from clients' previous financial institutions. Track and monitor asset transfers to ensure a smooth transition and timely completion.
- Client Education: Provide clients with information about our services, account features, and investment options. Address any questions or concerns they may have during the onboarding process.
- Compliance: Ensure all onboarding procedures adhere to industry regulations and internal compliance standards. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and documentation.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with our Retirement Planners and the Client Servicing Team to streamline the onboarding process and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Team Support: Assist the Client Servicing Team in achieving shared goals and responsibilities.
