What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista position at Meriwether Godsey, Inc.?
Meriwether Godsey is looking for a Part-time Barista at Rosetta's Coffee Shop, responsible for providing our guests with the finest drink service, accompanied by attentive and gracious service at Hollins University.
**This position has a tentative start date of early-mid August 2026.
- Part-time
- $15 Per Hour
- Must be available to work as follows: 1p-5p
What you will do:
- Make and serve specialty coffee, tea, and additional hot/cold beverages
- Greet and interact with customers while displaying a positive and friendly attitude
- Adhere to recipes and presentations for food and beverage items
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work station, including, but not limited to, sweeping and mopping floors of café and server, emptying trash cans, cleaning grinders, etc.
- Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
- Sells and serves baked goods and miscellaneous food items
- Maintain stock of café inventory
What you need:
- Prior Barista/Café experience (2 years preferred)
- Point of Sale (POS) experience preferred
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent communication and good organizational skills
- Flexibility: ability to switch between locations and job duties
- High School Diploma or equivalent
