Position Summary

Meritus is seeking armed security officers to support U.S. Naval infrastructure operations. Officers must be capable of meeting federal security standards, obtaining a national security clearance, and demonstrating a high level of professionalism and proficiency while performing armed protective services.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide armed security services at U.S. Naval facilities

• Protect personnel, property, and critical infrastructure

• Enforce access control and security protocols

• Respond to incidents and emergencies as required

• Maintain compliance with all federal, contract, and site-specific requirements

• Complete clear, accurate, and professional written reports

Minimum Requirements

• U.S. citizen

• Minimum 21 years of age

• Minimum 2 years of security experience

• Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation

• Ability to obtain and maintain a national security clearance

• Must fluently speak, read, and write English

• Successfully pass:

  • Medical evaluation

  • Drug screening

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• DD214 required for prior military service (if applicable)

Certifications & Credentials

• Valid driver’s license

• CPR / First Aid / AED certification (company provided)

• Firearms certifications (company provided):

  • M4

  • M9

  • M11

  • Mossberg 500

• Defensive tools training (company provided):

  • Baton (MEB)

  • OC spray

  • Handcuffs
