Serve with care. Support with pride. Meritus Health is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Catering Assistant to support our Nutrition Services team. This role ensures timely, attractive, and safe delivery of catering services for medical center guests and staff—contributing to a positive experience across our campus.
Key Responsibilities:
Organize and prepare daily catering requests and delivery schedules
Set up and clean up catering events with attention to presentation and timing
Follow safe food handling and infection control procedures
Prepare and batch cook menu items using proper techniques and equipment
Calculate quantities and gather supplies for catering production
Maintain compliance with health regulations and departmental standards
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
General work experience in customer service or team-based environments preferred
ServSafe certification preferred
Ability to follow instructions, measure ingredients, and perform basic math
Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
