Certified Surgical Technologist
Schedule: Full-Time | 80 hours biweekly | Rotating Shifts

As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you’ll play a vital role in supporting safe, efficient, and compassionate care for patients undergoing surgical procedures. Working under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, you’ll anticipate the needs of the patient and surgeon, maintain sterile technique, and contribute to a seamless intra-operative experience.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong clinical judgment and a commitment to teamwork. You’ll demonstrate advanced knowledge, critical thinking, and age-specific competencies to ensure every procedure is performed with precision and care.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in surgical procedures by preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies

Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond proactively during procedures

Maintain sterile technique and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments

Support intra-operative patient care in collaboration with the RN and surgical team

Demonstrate competency in surgical case preparation and age-specific care

Monitor equipment and report any concerns to appropriate personnel

Contribute to a safe, efficient, and respectful surgical environment

Minimum Qualifications
Education
-
High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program required
Experience
-
Clinical experience in an acute care setting preferred

Previous experience as a surgical technologist preferred
Licensure/Certification

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required

Current BLS (CPR) certification required, in compliance with Meritus Health policy
