What You’ll Do
As a Property Management Officer, you’ll be at the heart of our security operations, ensuring smooth and secure handling of property and equipment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing patient and visitor property: Oversee intake, logging, and return of items with strict adherence to chain-of-custody protocols.
- Maintaining inventory logs: Track and document all equipment used by our security officers, including radios, ID scanners, and more.
- Supporting equipment readiness: Ensure all gear is functional and report issues promptly to the Director of Security.
- Assisting with material inventories: Help manage supplies like evidence bags and visitor ID labels.
- Responding to emergencies: Provide backup support for shift coverage and urgent security needs.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 1 year of combined experience in security and property/evidence handling.
- Certifications:
- IAHSS Basic Certification (preferred)
- BLS (CPR) certification (required per policy)
- Driver Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record (no moving violations in past 3 years preferred)
- Annual certified driving record submission
- Signed acknowledgment of Meritus Vehicle Management policy
- Strong knowledge of security and law enforcement practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to interact professionally with staff, patients, visitors, and physicians
