What You’ll Do
You’ll play a vital role in helping patients and families navigate the emotional and psychological challenges of illness. You’ll:
- Conduct psycho-social and mental health assessments
- Diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide counseling and emotional support to patients and families
- Facilitate referrals and resources to promote optimal functioning
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
- Master’s degree in Counseling from an accredited institution
- LGPC licensure by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors (required)
- 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)
- Deep understanding of counseling principles, practices, and professional standards
- Familiarity with community organizations and social service programs
- Exceptional communication skills across diverse populations
- Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and sound clinical judgment
