Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional member service by identifying financial needs and recommending appropriate credit union products and services.
- Educate members on available financial solutions, including deposit accounts, loans, certificates, IRAs, and other credit union services that support their financial well-being.
- Contribute to branch growth through referrals for loan products, deposit accounts, and additional credit union services.
- Resolve member concerns professionally and efficiently while maintaining a positive member experience.
- Accurately process member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, check cashing, money orders, and other teller transactions.
- Verify member information, signatures, endorsements, balances, and transaction details in accordance with credit union policies and procedures.
- Balance and maintain an accurate cash drawer daily while adhering to all cash handling and balancing standards.
- Detect and prevent fraudulent or suspicious activity by following established security and verification procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality, accountability, and high ethical standards in all member interactions and operational responsibilities.
- Demonstrate professionalism and consistently reflect the credit union’s mission, values, and service standards in all internal and external interactions.
- Collaborate with team members to improve branch operations and enhance the overall member experience.
- Continuously develop knowledge of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures to effectively assist members and identify opportunities to meet their financial needs.
- Participate in community outreach, volunteer opportunities, and promotional activities that support the credit union’s mission and visibility.
- Provide support to other branch locations as needed and maintain flexibility to work at additional branches when required.
