Job Summary:
Pico Propane and Fuels in Laredo, TX is seeking a motivated Customer Service Representative/Dispenser to join the team. The Customer Service Representative/Dispenser is instrumental in performing office tasks, managing warehouse inventory, and overseeing facility operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Warehouse Functions:
- Coordinates, tracks, and reports inventory, ensuring that items are received correctly and efficiently into the warehouse from outside suppliers/vendors
- Ensures that items are moved efficiently from the warehouse to the work trucks for transport to the field site, and all incoming and outgoing material is accurately accounted for
- Operates forklift to load and unload equipment and products
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by maintaining a clean and organized facility
- Complies with established procedures, rules, and regulations regarding warehouse inventory in addition to maintaining quality service by following organization standards
- Schedule and perform weekly/monthly/quarterly Inventory audits
Plant and Office Support:
- Acts as customer service office support to assist with walk-in traffic and taking phone calls from customers with general questions or needing to place orders
- Interacts with customers via telephone, email, or in person to provide support and information on products or services and serves as a liaison between customers and the company
- Collects and enters orders for new or additional products or services
- Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments
- Assist customers with filling propane cylinders at the bottle dock station
- Assists with all other duties assigned by the Plant Manager regarding general plant support

Qualifications:Education, Certification, Licenses Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- At least 6 months of working in a warehouse environment preferred
- Must obtain a LPG Cylinder Filling License within 30 days of employment
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to follow all safety standards and requirements
- Ability to connect and communicate cross-departmentally using plain and concise language
- Customer service oriented
- Must be proficient in the current Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with basic Microsoft Excel knowledge desired, including the ability to create and modify spreadsheets
- Ability to operate a forklift and other equipment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Physical, Mental, and Behavioral Requirements:
The physical requirements described here are representative of those the incumbent must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Position requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to heavy weights of 20 to 100 lbs. for approximately 90% of the work shift
- Good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp and visual acuity to operate equipment is required, including at night
- Frequent sitting, reaching with hands and arms
- Must be able to speak and hear
- Must pass pre-employment screening and background check
- Position may require working evening hours and weekends as needed
- Work is normally performed outside, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, airborne particles, fumes, and gases is common
