Job Flexibility
• Onsite: This position requires an employee to be on-site on a full-time basis.

Overview
The Plant Manager formulates plans and directs those departments responsible for the planning, manufacture and shipment of product at the site level. Areas of accountability include safety, cost, productivity, customer service, ROA, and profit for all products distributed from that location (receiving, locating, picking, assembling, order processing, and quality assurance). Must exceed customer's requirements for quality, value for money and delivery and the company's requirement to improve profitability and growth

Job Responsibilities:
  • Ensures safe and productive plant operations through employee training and resolving safety issues.
  • Develop and introduce new methods to improve labor productivity, production lead time and reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Develop and maintain an environment which encourages individual contribution and commitment to quality, output and customer service.
  • Constantly review best in class manufacturing methods and reflect these in the adoption of new equipment, processes and working practices.
  • Develop and execute AOP and SBP strategies that will significantly reduce cost.
  • Exceed customer expectations in order to grow the customer base.
  • Cost/asset control to exceed Division ROA through managing budget performance, capital plan, performance, and cost cutting.
  • Develop the best leadership team in the industry.

Job Requirements:


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering business or finance and/or 10 years of management experience in an manufacturing environment; MBA Preferred
  • 3 years of staff leadership in multiple functions including manufacturing
  • Experience in assembly and fabrications
  • Assignment in operations distribution materials quality and project management
  • Design Engineering experience
  • Experience with more than one product
  • International assignment or exposure

This position is eligible for Cummins-Meritor’s Incentive Compensation Plan, which offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
