Description
The Project Manager will oversee various projects of moderate to high complexity of design, manufacturing, supply chain and quality projects; leading projects from original concept through final implementation. Manage and report project scope, status, escalations, cost, and timing to all impacted internal and external stakeholders.
This position is full-time, onsite at our Painesville, Ohio manufacturing facility.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of the development, implementation, and tracking of assigned programs/projects including project charters, project plans, action trackers, punch lists, project documentation, leader standard work, and standard operating procedures through completion. Act as a single point of contact for projects.
- Participate in defining project scope and objectives. Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, budget, metrics, resource plans, and status reports.
- Interpret plans and project requirements, communicates needed resources to management, and manages implementation of projects.
- Conduct project meetings including but not limited to daily huddles, Kaizen process/quality/manufacturing improvement events. Responsible for process mapping, project tracking and analysis. Provide progress reports to support internal management reporting.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to coordinate root cause investigations, leadership report-outs, metric/dashboard reporting.
- Collaborate with Sales and Engineering on Design and Production Projects to increase customer engagement/partnership.
- Manage the integration of customer/vendor tasks, track and review customer/vendor deliverables. Manages contract administration and invoicing.
- Manage NPI process improvement implementation from sales, design and production phase.
- Ensures adherence to quality standards.
- Responsible for project cost monitoring.
- Some travel may be required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline required.
- PMP Certification required.
- Proven success in leading Lean Six Sigma initiatives, Kaizen Events, Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, Pareto Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, metric/dashboard reporting required.
- Minimum of 4 years of program/project management in sales/operations/new product introduction preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of production/quality/process engineering/product management preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in Mechanical or Electrical product/design management preferred.
- Experience and demonstrated aptitude in all phases of design, testing and operations of electronics manufacturing.
- Experience with Visio, Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce, experience a plus.
- Experience with technical and analytical design guidance in stamping, molding, tooling and assembly in the connector space a plus.
Required Skills
- Excellent analytical skills; ability to prioritize assignments, effectively and professionally deal with interruptions, meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.
- Proficiency using, MS Project, MS Office, and SolidWorks.
- Professional and effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible, adaptable team player with ability to lead, influence, negotiate, resolve conflicts and build consensus.
- Self-starter, ability to work independently.
- Must be able to track and guide simultaneous projects and timelines to target.
