About the Role
As a Senior AI Engineer, you will work at the intersection of research and production engineering. You will be responsible for building scalable, multi-modal AI agents that solve specific, high-value problems in the financial sector. You won’t just be wrapping APIs; you will be deeply involved in the architecture of the model interactions, designing evaluations, and ensuring that the "black box" of AI meets the rigorous reliability standards of Wall Street.
Responsibilities
- Build Autonomous Agents: Design and implement scalable multi-modal LM-based agents capable of complex reasoning.
- Innovate on Architecture: Research and build solutions involving RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), semantic search, knowledge representation, function calling, and LLM fine-tuning.
- Define Quality: Research and build evaluations, metrics, and benchmarks to ensure model accuracy and reliability.
- From Lab to Live: Present innovative solutions through POCs and demos, then refactor and optimize that work into high-quality, production-ready code.
- Collaborate: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to integrate AI capabilities into the core user experience.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science or relevant fields.
Required Skills
- Framework Expertise: Strong programming experience with Python and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
- Production Mindset: Experience moving beyond notebooks to writing robust, production-ready code.
- Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with recent literature on Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI agents.
- Math Foundation: Solid grasp of core machine learning concepts and related mathematics (linear algebra, probability, statistics, multivariate calculus).
- Communication: Strong ability to discuss and brainstorm technical research ideas.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in industrial research (internships or previous engineering roles).
- Experience in academic research evidenced by projects or publications.
Pay range and compensation package
Compensation: $120,000–$200,000 Equity
