Merit Logistics has a full-time, permanent Warehouse Associate position in Frostproof, Florida. The job location is inside the Ferguson Distribution Warehouse, as a Merit Logistics Employee (3rd Party Logistics).

2st shift: Pay rate $19.00/hr- 3pm - 12:00am

Job post summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Material Handler to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely handling materials, operating various types of heavy equipment, and ensuring smooth warehouse distribution processes. Your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency within our warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory movement using warehouse management systems (WMS) to track stock levels and locations accurately
• Perform order picking tasks efficiently to fulfill shipping orders with precision and speed
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments and preparing items for dispatch
• Conduct routine equipment inspections.
• Support warehouse distribution efforts through materials handling, stacking, and organizing stock in designated areas
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage layouts and improve overall workflow

Requirements

• Proven experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment in a warehouse setting
• Knowledge of warehouse.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and materials handling
• Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, loading/unloading shipments, and long periods of standing or walking
• Basic math skills for inventory counts and shipment documentation
• Warehouse experience in distribution or logistics environments preferred
• Valid certification for forklift or heavy equipment operation is highly desirable
