Join our dynamic logistics team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, where your energy and attention to detail will drive the smooth flow of goods through our warehouse. In this vital role, you will coordinate the receipt, storage, and shipment of products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at every step. Your proactive approach will help us meet customer demands swiftly while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse operations and contribute to a fast-paced distribution network.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Shipping Department with preparing outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and organizing inventory.
  • Order supplies and materials for production, track incoming purchases, and maintain accurate vendor information.
  • Follow up on outstanding orders and ensure timely delivery of parts.
  • Support the Sales team by entering quotes and orders, communicating with customers, and keeping all information current in internal systems.
  • Provide general office support to employees, including helping with day-to-day administrative duties, completing various computer-based tasks, and offering basic technical troubleshooting whenever issues come up.
  • Request quotes for outside processing, place orders, and coordinate the shipment of parts to processors.
  • Assist management with scheduling, document preparation, and other daily administrative tasks.
  • Help the Accounting and Inspection departments with basic clerical work. Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate departments or staff members.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to learn new software and complete data entry tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to take initiative when issues arise.
  • Good communication skills for working with customers, coworkers, and vendors.
  • Ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and keep accurate records.
  • Comfortable working with inventory, shipments, and general office tools/equipment.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions carefully.
  • Willingness to assist different departments as needed and learn new tasks.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional and courteous phone and email etiquette.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
