Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable Entry-Level Calibration Technician/Driver to join our team. This hybrid role is 60% driving and 40% technical, ideal for someone with a clean driving record, strong customer service skills, and a willingness to learn the calibration trade.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive to client sites throughout California and surrounding states (some overnight travel and air travel required).
- Perform basic on-site calibration services using hand tools and measurement equipment.
- Assist in the setup, breakdown, and documentation of calibration jobs.
- Represent Merit Calibration in a professional manner with clients.
- Maintain accurate service records and logs.
- Follow all safety and compliance protocols.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and inspect vehicle regularly.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Clean driving record (DMV report required).
- Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with hand tools and small equipment.
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the day.
- Willingness to travel (by vehicle and air) for jobs outside of Southern California.
- Must be punctual, professional, and reliable.
