Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and creative Cake Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and decorating cakes, with a strong understanding of food safety and production processes. This role involves creating beautiful and delicious cakes for various occasions, ensuring high-quality standards are met while providing excellent customer service.
Duties
- Assisting lead cake decorator, to make cakes according to customer specifications and company standards.
- Cutting, filling, icing and decorating cakes and cupcakes for sale.
- Prepare cakes for sale in the showcase.
- Package finished products for display or delivery while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production and delivery of orders.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with cake selections and special requests.
- Stay updated on industry trends in cake decorating techniques and flavor profiles.
Experience
- Proven experience in cake decorating, with a portfolio showcasing previous work.
- Background in food production or culinary arts is preferred, including pastry experience.
- Familiarity with food handling practices, food safety regulations, and kitchen operations.
- Strong knife skills and baking knowledge are essential.
- Previous experience in catering or restaurant environments is a plus.
