Summary:
The Area Sales Representative is responsible for driving significant new revenue growth by identifying, developing, and securing large commercial accounts within assigned territories. This outside sales role focuses on strategic prospecting, relationship building, and solution-based selling to position Meridian Waste as the preferred environmental services partner in the region.
Key Responsibilities:

Proactively identify and pursue high-value prospects and major account opportunities.

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed revenue targets.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.

Deliver professional presentations and proposals tailored to each customer’s needs.

Collaborate with operations and leadership to ensure seamless onboarding and long-term customer satisfaction.

Maintain a robust pipeline through diligent CRM management and activity tracking.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ and or Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, related field and or work experience.
- Minimum four years of related new customer sales and account management experience.
- Contracted service industry related sales and customer service experience.
- Experience in the Solid Waste Industry preferred.
Specialized Knowledge Required – Including any required certificates, licenses, and registrations
- Knowledge of all facets of sales strategy and implementation including market research, customer prospecting, sales promotion and customer retention strategies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Organizational expertise regarding event management and grassroots outreach.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
