The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting patients with their eyewear needs. This role requires a strong understanding of optical products and services, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. The Optician will play a crucial role in ensuring patient satisfaction and maintaining the quality of our optical services.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyeglasses and contact lenses based on their prescriptions and personal preferences.
- Perform fittings and adjustments for eyeglasses to ensure proper fit and comfort.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including billing and insurance information.
- Collaborate with optometrist to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Manage retail sales transactions, including inventory management and product displays.
- Stay updated on the latest optical trends, products, and technologies to provide informed recommendations to patients.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an optical setting or retail management is preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with medical billing processes and systems such as RevolutionEHR is advantageous.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in a clinical environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
