Job Title: Contract Manager
Location: Arden, NC (Onsite)
Duration: 14-Month W2 Contract initially
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee high-level contract management functions related to services, equipment supply, and materials. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with both commercial and non-commercial terms, enforcing vendor performance standards, and supporting project and procurement teams with contract administration and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Oversight: Manage all phases of contract administration—from review and interpretation to enforcement—ensuring compliance with binding contractual obligations.
- Compliance & Governance: Review contracts for adherence to non-commercial and commercial terms, verifying alignment with Supply Chain policies and corporate standards.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop and maintain metrics to assess and monitor contractor performance, taking corrective actions when necessary.
- Change Management: Administer and document contract change orders, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and alignment with project objectives.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks in contract execution and proactively recommend mitigation strategies.
- Vendor Management: Enforce vendor compliance with contract terms and ensure all deliverables meet defined requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, OR a minimum of 10 years of directly related contract management experience in lieu of a degree.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, procurement processes, and vendor management practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret and enforce complex contractual provisions.
- Effective communicator with demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and with external vendors.
Work Environment & Additional Details
- Schedule: Full-time, onsite position.
- Travel: May be required to drive a company vehicle or UTV onsite as part of field inspections or vendor oversight.
