Position Details

- Schedule: Every Sunday
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Position: Part-Time / Ongoing
- Commitment: Must be available to work every Sunday
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for an officer who is approachable, calm, friendly, and professional. This is a community-oriented farmers market, so we're looking for someone who enjoys interacting with the public and can provide a reassuring presence without being overly aggressive or confrontational.
Active or retired law enforcement officers are welcome to apply.
Requirements
- Active or retired law enforcement officer
- Active BSIS Guard Card
- BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit
- Current CCW
- Must be able to commit to every Sunday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-service oriented
- Calm and professional demeanor
- Strong communication and situational awareness
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working around families, vendors, and the general public
Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for vendors, staff, and guests
- Monitor the market and surrounding areas for safety concerns
- Respond appropriately to incidents and disturbances
- De-escalate situations when possible and appropriate
- Communicate with market staff and other security personnel
- Contact local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
- Complete basic incident reports when needed
This position is best suited for an officer who enjoys community interaction and providing a calm, reassuring presence.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
