Role Overview We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Mobile Mammography Unit Operator to join our expanding team as we grow our services across Ohio and Illinois. This role is critical to our mission of providing accessible breast cancer screening. You will be responsible for the safe transport of our mobile clinic and providing essential support to our Mammography Technicians and patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Operations: Safely drive and maneuver the mobile mammography unit to various locations throughout Indiana, Ohio and Illinois, including residential areas, community centers, and corporate sites.
- Patient Assistance: Act as a primary support for patients, assisting them safely from their homes into the mobile unit and back out after their appointments.
- Operational Setup: Ensure the mobile unit is properly leveled, powered, and stabilized at each site; maintain the interior and exterior cleanliness of the vehicle.
- Clinical Support: Assist the Mammography Technician with non-clinical tasks, such as patient check-in, managing flow, and ensuring a comfortable environment for every visitor.
- Safety & Compliance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintaining detailed logs to ensure compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Driving Record: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (MVR check required). Experience operating large vehicles (e.g., RVs, box trucks, or transit buses) is highly preferred.
- Travel Flexibility: Must be willing and able to travel extensively across state lines (OH and IL), including occasional overnight stays as the service area expands.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to assist patients with mobility needs, including guiding, stabilizing, and helping individuals navigate steps or ramps.
- Patient Care: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-first mindset.
